Camden Area Youth Service

Camden Area Youth Service (CAYS) is a service for young people between the ages of 12 and 18 that provides the opportunity to socialise, and develop knowledge and skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Youth are encouraged to drop into CAYS HQ at the Community Hall in Queen Street, Narellan (opposite Narellan Town Centre). The youth space is equipped with a PS2, pool table, table tennis and computer room. Activities include cooking classes, song writing, and more.

During Postnatal Depression Awareness Week (PDAW) Camden Community Connections is hosting a FREE Information and seated massage session. PDAW aims to encourage women to seek help early and breakdown some of the stigma surrounding this common health issue. The project launch " BEAT THE BLUES" will start at 10am- 12noon on Thursday 17th November 2011. Click on above link for more details. Bookings Essential!

Out-ReAcH!

Come along to Out-ReAcH! FREE outdoor activities for young people every Thursday night at Narellan Library Forecourt opposite Narellan Town Centre. This is a seasonal activity commencing during daylight savings.

Free use of computers
Links to local agencies that provide services to young people
Occasional visits combined with structured programs

CAMDEN YOUTH ARTS FESTIVAL

Local youth had the opportunity to get creative at music and digital media workshops using state of the art technology at Camden Creative Studios. The workshops culminated in a Youth Arts Festival Live event with local bands Denham Reagh and Southdown. More photos of the activities will be posted here over the next week, stay tuned!
