Camden Community Bus

Purchased in 2003 with a grant from the IMB Community Foundation the 12 seater bus can be driven by anyone over 25 with a class C (1A) driving license or above, making it an excellent option for outings, trips or to pick up members of the community for groups or events.

The bus is only available for hire by community groups and not for profit organisations. Private individuals and for profit companies cannot hire the bus.
The fee for booking the bus is $40 +GST. An additional $10 is charged for overnight hire (i.e. a Sat and Sun incl overnight is $98 incl GST).This has to be paid before the hire by cash or cheque unless by prior agreement
The bus is a 12 seater (including the driver.
Organisations must provide a copy of their public liability certificate of currency prior to hiring the bus.
The only other cost is that the bus must be brought back full of petrol.
The hirer is allowed unlimited kms during the hire as long as it within a 75km radius.
Drivers must be aged 25 or over and hold a current class C (1A) or above license.
Drivers must complete a driver’s orientation before the hire date.
Child restraints are available to transport up to 3 children under 2 at any on time.
